2023 Homecoming Preview!
From October 12 to 15, 2023, Hardin-Simmons University will be abuzz in celebration of its annual Homecoming. To prepare for this incredible weekend, here are some important things you should be on the lookout for:
On Friday, October 13, 2023, an outdoor festival on the Newman-Richardson lawn will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m. This event will include food trucks, inflatables, yard games, and a setting for students, alums, and their families to have fun in the autumn temperatures. A pep rally, complete with fireworks, will begin at 8:15 p.m. Afterwards, all are invited to indulge in a late-night breakfast (purple pancakes, anyone?) at the Don Bridges Courtyard.
Multiple events are scheduled for Saturday, October 14. A new meeting spot, called the Meeting Spot & Academic Showcase, will be held in Moody 108 from 9:oo-11:00 a.m. Professors and representatives from various academic programs will be present at this event. Meet up with past professors, network with other career fields, or just grab a snack in the company of friends. Alumni, this is also a good place to reconnect with graduates from your program.
On the same day, 6:00-8:00 p.m., there will be a reunion reception in the Johnson Building that you would not want to miss. There will be refreshments, including a massive charcuterie board. These are the classes that will be highlighted, but all from the same decades are welcome to attend:
45 Year – Class of 1978
40 Year – Class of 1983
30 Year – Class of 1993
20 Year – Class of 2003
10 Year – Class of 2013
