March at Hardin-Simmons University was the month of student engagement. Throughout the month, our community came together to celebrate student accomplishments, discuss potential improvements, and honor those who came before. Here are some photos to commemorate the first month of spring.

Sophomore Ring Dunk

Our sophomore cowboys and cowgirls took part in the long-standing tradition of dunking their rings in purple dye. This commemorated the halfway point of their collegiate journey and symbolized their growth and belonging to the HSU community.

SGA Town Hall

HSU’s Student Government Association partnered with President Bruntmyer to host a town hall meeting, allowing students to discuss questions and concerns involving them. The meeting created a sense of unity and provided the president with insight into the daily lives of HSU students.

Hall of Leaders Luncheon

The Hall of Leaders Luncheon honored Dr. Lanny Hall, Dr. Andy Patterson, Dr. Evan Reiff, and William Womble as new inductees into the Hall of Leaders. This ceremony recognized these individuals, who not only had a significant impact on HSU but also on our nation through countless endeavors and their shared desire to give back to society.

HSU Athletics

Our Cowboys and Cowgirls had another month of resiliency representing our athletics program. Softball had a progressive month while battling in conference play with hopes of climbing the conference standings. Men’s and Women’s tennis teams gained confidence from an impressive performance against Schreiner College, helping them improve their overall records. Finally, our HSU track team traveled down Ambler to Abilene Christian University and competed in the Wes Kittley Invitational, where they put up strong performances and broke many personal records.
