Exploration Station
Exploration Station is a six week experience designed for 3, 4, and 5 year old children. It is open to faculty and students and the surrounding community. Hardin-Simmons University’s Irvin School of Education Early Childhood students in conjunction with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are offering the program. Hardin-Simmons University is now a Proud Partner of Texas Parks & Wildlife. The curriculum, Growing Up Wild from Texas Parks & Wildlife is a component of Project Wild, which was designed to promote exploring nature with young children.
The children meet each Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. starting on March 30 until the last session on May 4. The cost for the experience is $30, and there are some scholarships available based on need. Please call 325-670-1347 or email PKBrown@hsutx.edu to enroll. Please send checks to HSU Box 16225, Abilene, Texas, 79698. We are limited to the first 25 students who enroll, so enroll early.
