The Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing (PHSSN) is seeking reaffirmation of its national accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and will be hosting a site visit on October 10-12, 2018. The baccalaureate degree program in Nursing (BSN), the Master’s degree program in Nursing (MSN) and the post-graduate Advanced Practice Registered Nursing program (APRN) are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

HSU hosts TxCCDN Regional Poverty Conference
On April 2, Hardin-Simmons hosted a conference revolving around working to change big issues like poverty and homelessness. The conference was organized by Texas Christian Community Development Network (TxCCDN), Community Foundation of Abilene, Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Abilene. The conference’s title was “Community Transformed: Creating Change Through Collaboration” and its purpose was to “collaborate with like-minded leaders to discuss serving our neighbors in need through ministry.”

Kylen Williams ’19 is the embodiment of HSU spirit. He can be seen walking across campus in his purple Nikes or driving with his purple-rimmed tires. His apartment is decorated with HSU event posters and memorabilia. Even his Facebook page is full of HSU pictures and video parodies.
