Hardin-Simmons University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center are excited to announce the signing of an articulation agreement to allow qualified Hardin-Simmons students the opportunity to enter the TTUHSC’s Master of Public Health program after three years at Hardin-Simmons, therefore allowing students to get a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Public Health in five years.

The theatre program at Hardin-Simmons University proudly presents "Anything Goes," a musical love story set on board an ocean liner in 1934. Directed by Teri Wilkerson and Dr. Melody Rich, this show will open the 2018-2019 theatre season. Showtimes for "Anything Goes" are October 3-6 at 7:30 p.m. and October 7 at 2:00 p.m. in Van Ellis Theatre. Ticket costs are $15 for general admission, $10 for military, seniors, or outside students, $3 for Alumni, and $5 for Hardin-Simmons University faculty, staff, and students.
Last year, Hardin-Simmons began the new Christlieb Scholarship, a program where sponsors cover tuition costs for students who are independent and self-supporting. One student who has benefitted from the Christlieb Scholarship is Catherine Fuller, a sophomore pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting with a minor in legal studies.

On April 2, Hardin-Simmons hosted a conference revolving around working to change big issues like poverty and homelessness. The conference was organized by Texas Christian Community Development Network (TxCCDN), Community Foundation of Abilene, Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Abilene. The conference’s title was “Community Transformed: Creating Change Through Collaboration” and its purpose was to “collaborate with like-minded leaders to discuss serving our neighbors in need through ministry.”
